Razor Pocket Mod Miniature Euro Electric Scooter
Razor has already made itself known as one of the most popular brands of scooter manufacturers. Primarily aimed at kids, razor’s scooters range from kick push scooters to electric upright scooters and even moped-looking scooters. From their top of the line range, you can get an electric scooter that looks like those vintage Vespa scooters but at a smaller scale that’s meant for kids and teens.
The vintage-inspired Razor Pocket Mod Miniature Euro Electric Scooter is a chain-driven scooter powered by a small electric motor capable of delivering a max speed of 15 miles an hour. Now, 15mph may not be that fast even for a scooter, but since Razor sells their products for fun use by kids and teens, these are not vehicles that are cut out of public roads. These cute electric scooters are mostly meant for driving around the block, going to your friend’s house, and going for a cruise around the neighborhood. The scooter comes equipped with 12-inch pneumatic tires and a rear suspension system. The brakes are also located at the rear along with the electric motor hidden under the seat.
With a battery performance that only lasts for a max distance of 10 miles and has a max capacity of 170 pounds, the scooter makes it clear that this is not for commuting and is limited to kids and teens only.
Razor MX350 Dirt Rocket Electric Motocross Bike
If your kid is seeking to be the next motocross star, then start them early with Razor’s MX350 Dirt Rocket Electric Motocross Bike. It has a design like a scaled down dirt bike complete with extra knobby tires and a faux engine; your kid will be ecstatic upon gazing at the pocket dirt bike. The motor is powerful enough to make the mini dirt bike going up to 14 miles per hour and is fun enough to use for dirt roads and light jumps. The bike features front and rear suspension that when combined with the 12-inch pneumatic tires ensure a smooth ride over bumps and comes equipped with a hand-operated rear brake.
Made for kids 13 and up; the bike looks cool for the kids and is a good fit for average sized pre-teens. The 14mph max speed ensures safe fun outdoors and packs enough juice to last for 30-minutes of continuous use on a single charge of the 24V lead acid rechargeable battery. The motor is high torque and is connected to the rear tires via a reliable chain drive system that requires zero maintenance.
If you’re fed up with BMX bikes and kick scooters, the Razor MX350 makes for a unique gift to your little daredevil. Just make sure to prepare the mini dirt course in your backyard; you kid’s going to ask you for one.
Razor E100 Electric Scooter
Going back to Razor’s roots which are the kick scooters, over the course of years, Razor has offered a variety of scooters for different age groups from standard kick scooters, to scooters with built in sparklers for some reason and now we have electric scooters made for kids. Don’t get the previous statement wrong; this is not your big boy scooter, this scooter is designed to be used by kids and pre-teens and the specs sheet backs that up.
Powering the scooter is a high-torque chain drive motor that can propel the scooter up to 10mph and is controlled via a nice twist-grip throttle. The motor requires a kick start for it to start functioning which is okay considering that it is a kick scooter; plus the motor is meant for assist instead of the main source of propulsion. The scooter comes with small 8-inch pneumatic tires and has a front brake composed of a V-brake that’s actuated by a traditional brake lever on the handlebar. The battery is mounted low under the step board which does hamper ground clearance so be sure to tell your kids to watch where they are going unless they want to damage the battery compartment.
Using lead acid batteries, Razor recommends that you charge the batteries for first time use by up to 24 hours to condition the battery out of factory charge conditions.
Super Cycles & Scooters Black Super Turbo
Did I mention about big boy scooters on while talking about the Razor E100 electric scooter? Well, here you go, the big boy scooter that does not mess around. While still not cut out of commuting, it does feature a motor that’s powerful enough to propel you at speeds up to 26 miles per hour. The 36-volt battery pack gives the scooter a charge that lasts up to 18 miles on max settings and even more when using the eco mode button.
Having a 1000-watt scooter can give you a ton of fun, the battery is based on a 36-volt deep cell lead acid batteries that run longer than any other 36-volt battery-powered scooter on the market; plus, with the new eco mode button, you can extend your scooter’s range at a press of a button. The scooter is constructed with lightweight yet durable materials such as lightweight steel, a sturdy front suspension, knobby tires, front and rear disk brakes, as well as a comfy seat and extended ground clearance. Just putting the Super Turbo scooter next to the other electric scooters in this list makes them look like toys (which they are, but you get my point). The Super Cycles & Scooters branded Super Turbo Scooter is your legit big boy scooter.
Drive Medical Scout Compact Travel Power Scooter 3 Wheel
Okay did I say big boy scooter? I meant serious neighborhood recreational scooter. Because the Drive Medical Scout is by no means a scooter for big boys; it’s a scooter that’s meant to assist people. Therefore, making this a proper vehicle and not a toy. Designed and built to be used by PWDs, elderly people, or those who find it hard to move around, this is the alternative to the wheelchair.
The Drive Medical Scout features interchangeable side panels that make it easy to hide scuffs and scratches from everyday wear and tear. This vehicle does not feature a seat; it sports a full-on chair with arm rests and a properly padded backrest to keep the rider comfortable. The armrests are designed to be fully adjustable, and the chair can have adjustable height as well as swivel to make it easy to reach stuff. Aside from the seat, the tiller or the steering wheel is also fully adjustable to be able to let the scooter conform to the rider’s body and not the other way around which can be bad for PWDs.
The dimensions of the scooter are small enough to be used indoors and can access wheelchair ramps with relative ease. The tires are solid and flat-free as well as non-marking to prevent scuffing indoor floors.
Super Cycles & Scooters Super Turbo
This model of Super Cycles & Scooters Super Turbo is meant to be the successor of the Super Turbo 800 scooter and did minor tweaks to the powertrain to accommodate the larger motor, as well as include a larger 36-volt battery. The scooter is powerful enough to handle a maximum rider weight of 250 pounds and can propel the scooter to speeds of up to 26 miles per hour. If you’re not satisfied, upgrade your Super Turbo Scooter with the hill kit accessory to increase the max rider weight to 300 pounds.
The chassis is made from high-strength bicycle grade steel and features disc brakes on the front and rear wheels as well as a front mono shock and rear dual shocks that pair well with the knobby tires to absorb the road undulations and minor bumps.
For features, the bike comes with a folding frame to for easy storage including an adjustable seat that’s also easy to remove yet stays in place when in use. The nuts and bolts on the structure are all stainless steel, so they stay rust free. The tires are oversized and a nice-feeling twist-grip throttle. For accessories, you get a LED headlight, charger, basic tools, as well as granting you access to Super Cycle & Scooter’s how to videos online plus a lifetime tech support line.
UberScoot 1000w Electric Scooter by Evo boards
Made by Evo boards, a popular skateboard, and electric skateboard manufacturer; the 1000w electric scooter is their take on Super Cycles & Scooter’s Super Turbo 1000w scooter. The two scooters are almost identical from the same 1000w motor, front and rear disc brakes, single shock front suspension and dual shock rear suspension.
The Evo Board electric scooter has 10-inch oversized pneumatic tires that are using a slick road tread for optimum grip when zipping through the sidewalk. The strong and light frame is foldable and has a removable seat that can be height-adjustable. The powertrain is a 1000-watt motor capable of 24 to 26 mph depending on the rider’s weight. The batteries are composed of two 12-volt lead-acid batteries which together form a 24-volt power pack that can last up to 10 miles of range. Looking closely, the Super Turbo Scooter has the advantage despite the minor difference in price. The Super Turbo has longer range at 18 miles per charge as well as offer multiple running modes such as normal, eco, and turbo; each of which affects the battery life of the scooter. For accessories, Evo Boards’ scooter also falls short by failing to include a LED headlight.
Pulse Performance Products Disney Princess Safe Start 3-Wheel Electric Scooter
What an article this is, we went from a kid’s Vespa scooter to big boy scooters, and even PWD scooters but to finish off the article I give you the Disney Princess Safe Start 3-wheeler by Pulse Performance Products. Why? Because you might be looking for a scooter for a toddler, no one said you can’t have a scooter because you’re too young; get a scooter for the young ones!
The three-wheeler comes in a plastic construction with steel handlebars and main structural frame. The scooter can be activated via a push button to let it run at a safe speed of 1.75 miles per hour. The scooter features a safe start jolt-free operation where the electric motor is paired to a low gear ratio to keep the ride comfortable and non-intimidating for first-time riders. Equipped with soft urethane wheels, the three-wheeler won’t be leaving any skid marks on your beautiful floor. The handlebars can turn to 42 degrees lock to lock to allow for easy indoor maneuverability, and the push button start also has a reverse function to for backing up.
I just wish that for the little motor, the battery could have at least provided more runtime. It’s frustrating to charge it every night only to last 80 minutes of use the next day as it provides only 80 minutes of continuous use after an 8-hour charge. Granted it’s made for indoor use, and a child’s short attention span could not take advantage of the scooter’s full 80 minutes, it’s still a downer since the motor only produces a small amount of power. Then again considering the price of the scooter, I guess it’s okay.
Electric scooters provide an excellent mode of transport to go from house to house of if you or you kid just wants to enjoy the feeling of riding a powered vehicle. If you’re considering getting a new electric scooter, think about who’s going to use it, and reflect on the safety features. The prices of these rides don’t seem to matter as they’re all similarly priced except for the serious electric scooters but for the most part, what you should look for are the specs sheet for each scooter. Be sure to look at speed and battery performance. Now, granted scooters were meant to be kick-pushed in the first place, having to run out of juice mid-play is just not fun.
